Join a Cleanup Event Near You or Plan Your Own!
This September, let’s team up to protect our precious creeks, wetlands, and the beautiful Bay! There are several ways you can get involved in Coastal Cleanup Month:
- Join a local event: Participate in one of the many organized cleanups happening throughout Alameda County.
- Organize your own “DIY” cleanup: Grab some friends and clean up a spot in your community. Every piece of litter you pick up matters, especially when we all work together.
- Unearth Hidden “Trashures”! This year, there’s an exciting new way to get involved: the world’s first TRASHURE HUNT! Special “trash” items will be hidden at cleanup sites across the entire state. If you’re lucky enough to find one, you can redeem it for valuable prizes. Will you be one of the lucky “trashure” hunters?
