Position Available: Assistant Environmental Compliance Specialist
The Alameda County Public Works Agency is seeking a motivated individual to assist with the implementation of the Alameda Countywide Clean Water Program.
Application deadline is December 10, 2018.
The successful applicant will assist with the implementation of the Alameda Countywide Clean Water Program.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with the implementation of the creek status monitoring program (Provision C.8 of the Municipal Regional Stormwater Permit (MRP)),
- Mercury and PCBs source identification and control measures (Provisions C.11 and C.12 of the MRP),
- Receiving water trash monitoring (Provision C.10 of the MRP), and
- Maintenance of the Program’s Geographic Information System (GIS) application.
The successful applicant will be eligible for a 7% pay increase upon obtaining/maintaining registration as a civil engineer, Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD), Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP), or Qualified Industrial Stormwater Practitioner (QISP).
