Stormwater Quality Management Prior to 2009, the Alameda Countywide Clean Water Program operated according to the Storm Water Quality Management Plan for FY2002-2008. The Plan describes the Program's activities to: - Work with concerned citizens to increase community awareness, everyday pollution prevention and creek preservation.
- Work with local businesses to control pollution in storm drains and creeks.
- Monitor and assess pollution problems and health of local creeks and lakes.
- Design practices for city and county government operations that contribute less pollution.

NPDES Permit for Stormwater Discharge: The San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board adopted the Municipal Regional Stormwater Permit (MRP) on October 14, 2009. This permit includes ACCWP members as well as 59 other Phase 1 municipal stormwater permittees in the Bay Area.
